Not Just another origin story
Erika has worked in many Accounting Practices across 3 countries and has worked with thousands of SME's in a range of industries.
Her biggest frustration had always been about how long it took to get all the information she required to complete clients financial reports and tax returns.
She always felt like a "nagging wife", nagging clients to bring in their records, which by the way she's not, just ask her hubby!
Her other big frustration was, that she felt she could never catch up, she was always processing historical data that in most cases was more than a year old.
The saddest part for her was to see the disappointment on her clients faces when she told them that they had made a loss. The business that they had poured all their money into and had worked so hard in.
Can you relate?
Fast forward to 2008, when she discovered a little known New Zealand company called Xero. She first thought that they had misspelled their name, but soon found out that this company with the funny spelling of zero was the answer to ALL her frustrations.
She had been using MYOB for her business and her clients but decided to check out this new software and subsequently moved her own business accounting over to Xero.
Wow, Wow, Wow was all she could say after she implemented Xero and she has been singing Xero's praises for more than a decade and even talks about Xero in her sleep according to her hubby!
